Add headlines to GMail

As you may have heard, GMail now allows users to subscribe RSS feeds that will display at the top of your e-mail client the latest stories and headlines from your various sources. I know what you’re thinking — Check my e-mail and get the latest Diatribe headlines? How fantastic!

Well, here’s how to add it:

- Log into your Gmail account
- Just above your list of e-mails, you should a headline feed already, or a link that says “Sign up for RSS headlines.”
- Click “Customize,” this can also be found under “Settings -> Web Clips”
- Select the checkbox that says Enable Web Clips
- On the left rail you will see a box that says “Search by Topic or URL,” enter this into the field:
http://www.thediatribe.net/feed

For some reason, Gmail does not support Feedburner feeds, so the link on the right nav of The Diatribe will not work here.

- You should then see a box that says “Preview” and a Button “Add” for The Diatribe. Click add, and you’re good to go.

Now you’re using RSS just like the other geeks out there.
